He Donated kidney but got rejected when he proposed to the woman he loved
Sometimes, the things we do for love sake are kind of crazy. Have you ever loved a person to the point of death before? This article will reveal to you the extent to which loving someone can take you to, but unfortunately, it always turns out that the ones we love so much don’t reciprocate. Maybe that’s how nature is designed to be, who knows.
This article is about a gentle man named Simon Louise. It happened that the woman he loved so much was dying of chronic kidney failure and needed someone to save her life by donating a kidney to her. He was so happy to go through the process and luckily for him, his kidney was a perfect match for the lady.
The operations went smoothly and soon after the lady bounced back on her feet hale and hearty.
Barely few weeks after the operation, Simon thought it was the right time to propose to the love of his life. To his utter chagrin, he got a NO for an answer. Her excuse? She didn’t want to ruin their friendship.
Here's the story…
Mary Emmanuelle (the lady) and Simon Louise first met in a club in London, UK. Just after their first meet, they discovered that they had things in common so it was easy for them to click. Simon began crushing on Mary and always sent her special presents like Roses and chocolates. To Simon, he believed he’s met his missing rib while Mary saw the whole thing as just a sign of friendship. After all, she had an eight years old son she was taken care of so she rarely had time for something else.
All these happened in the 90’s and they became so close and passionate for years until tragedy struck. One day, while Mary and her son (now 21 years) were together at home, she collapsed and was rushed to the hospital by her son. After series of tests was conducted, it was discovered that she was suffering from a chronic kidney failure and a dialysis wasn’t an option. The only way out was to carry out a kidney transfer. Now, getting a kidney that will match hers became a huge concern because she has a rare blood type, B-negative.
Within a short time, Simon Louise got to know about what was happening and he rushed to the hospital to see her. After hearing the situation on ground, he decided to sacrifice one of his kidneys for her so she could live. Luckily, it was a perfect match. Without much ado, all necessary surgery procedures were put in place and a successful surgery was done for both of them.
After everything Mary was so happy and couldn’t thank Simon enough for saving her life.
Shortly after the surgery, Simon Louise thought it was the perfect time to show how much he loved her by asking her hand in marriage. To his uttermost surprise, she rejected it because she believed they were just friends.
Putting myself in Simon’s place, I could imagine the kind of thoughts that will go through my head at that point. But despite the disappointment, Simon said he didn’t feel any form of regret. According to him, “I gave her my heart, not only that, I offered my kidney to her. Nonetheless, I shouldn’t feel bad because I gave the gift of life.”
